Vice President, Director of Engineering & Construction Services

Joseph Caraciolo serves as Vice President Director of Engineering & Construction Services for Swig Equities, LLC.

Mr. Caraciolo directs the scheduling, coordination and supervision of all in-house and contracted building engineering projects throughout the commercial and residential Swig Equities portfolio. Mr. Caraciolo is also responsible for the planning and implementation of preventative maintenance programs within the portfolio, maximizing the effectiveness of the building engineering personnel. In addition, Mr. Caraciolo supervises and coordinates all interior construction and building-wide capital improvements throughout the Swig Equities portfolio of properties.

Prior to ascending to his current position, Mr. Caraciolo served as Chief Engineer of 48 Wall Street for the company since 2001. 48 Wall Street is a landmark 34 story, 324,000 square foot commercial property in Downtown Manhattan, that recently underwent a $60 million renovation while maintaining the historic qualities of the property and creating a first class, state of the art environment it’s the tenancy.

In 1985, after finishing a four year tour of service in the United States Navy working as a chief engineer in a nuclear powered submarine, Mr. Caraciolo began his career in building management as an engineer’s helper at New York’s Rockefeller Center. Upon receiving his refrigeration license Mr. Caraciolo accepted the position of watch engineer at a major Midtown high-rise office building. While there, he continued his engineering and building management education, until accepting the position of Chief Engineer of 48 Wall Street.

Mr. Caraciolo has taught Air Conditioning and Refrigeration courses at a major technical school in New York. Additionally, he has contributed to the education of new union members by instructing in several Local 94-94 A, apprentice education programs.

Mr. Caraciolo resides in Long Island with his wife and 3 children.
